Kalahari wanted a new seasonal TV spot for their Spring Break push but the next shoot wasn’t scheduled until summer. The challenge was to create a new spot using footage from the agency’s library going back to 2012 on an incredibly tight timeline. Working without a composer, the music here is a complete recomposition of a 2:00 minute repetitive drum track that originally only had one bar of drumroll in the middle. I recut the song to add the drumroll to the beginning and extended it in the middle section to create anticipation and tension. Luckily the waterparks have no shortage of energetic footage to pull from to match the vibe of the music.
